Planning Ahead

Hey, got a rejection: mumbly-joe something days from Abyss & Apex, sent to them some time in February. I think. So.

Vacation has been going well, in general. Actually answered a few work emails that needed answering. Subscribed to Marvel's Digital Comics program and read a few things, including Modok's 11. Just generally lazed about the house.

Well, okay, I did do one productive thing: moved several bookshelves about, moving them out of our bedroom into the hall and other rooms. One's now in my office, blocking the closet door. This might cause trouble in a few months, 'cuz that's where we keep the Christmas wrapping paper. I can hear the conversation already: "Sorry son, Christmas is cancelled this year! Yes, I'm afraid so. Don't cry. Why? Couldn't wrap your gifts, so I took 'em all back! Why are you crying? No, I can't go buy more paper, don't talk crazy! And stop crying!" Yeah, that won't go well. I'll probably have to move it; cheaper than a pony.

I actually lost count of how many geek hot buttons there are in that trailer. Nazis, samurai, dragons, zeppelins, explosions, cute girls in lingerie armed with machine guns, etc. The cumulative effect is pretty impressive.

* * *

Today's the last day of exams. Tomorrow I'm on vacation for almost two and a half weeks. Whether this'll result in more posts here remains to be seen. I might go for more trivia and errata.

Although I have a Facebook account, I don't actually spend any time on it. If you friend me, I'm happy to friend you back, for all the good it will do you. I won't ever actually update on it, and I won't read your updates. But I'm happy to friend you. What do I care? However, I won't play the games, accept or give the gifts, or participate in anything that might result in some sort of app installation. I've got a nice little corner of the Internet -- here -- and that's where I spend my time. LJ updates point back here, and Twitter doesn't count. It's the cocktail party of the Internet.

(For best effect, I should probably post this on Facebook. But I'm not going to, as I don't use it.)
