Does This Count As Closure?

Heard the news about Bin Laden last night, notified by twitter of a surprise announcement by the white house, and watched it on NBC (TV's not irrelevant yet, I suppose). My reactions could be summed up as:

  1. Good.
  2. What does this mean in practical terms?
  3. I bet Stewart & Colbert are glad they're not on vacation this week.

And after Obama's speech was over, I found myself thinking of Donald Trump with his smarmy smug self promoting line,

"Today I am very proud of myself," ... "because I have accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish"
simply because he got the White House to reveal Obama's long-form birth certificate? That was a non-event for a number of reasons. But now, compared to this latest news? He now seems like an even bigger asshole, and I wouldn't have thought that possible.

(Update: Well, yes).
