No One Expects The Unexpected

From Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5,
Marvel Comics, 1968.
Am surprised to report I've received some monies for my reprint appearance in The Best of Abyss & Apex. vol. 1. That would be "Goddess," for those of you following along at home. It's not a ton o' cash, but it's certainly an auspicious start to the month. Woo, etc.

And yes, I've heard all about the House of Mouse buying the House of M. Should be innerestin' and all that, but what I'm more interested in is the Marvel Super Hero Squad coming to Cartoon Network in the fall. It's aimed at the 4 to 10 year old age bracket, which means I have a perfect excuse to watch it, thanks to a certain special someone. This is why people have kids, after all. I can just hear it now:

"Daddy, I want to watch Max and Ruby!"
"No, Ian, Daddy wants to watch Marvel Super Hero Squad."
"Max and Ruby!"
"Marvel Super Hero Squad!"
"Max and Ruby!"
"Marvel Super Hero Squad!"
"MAX AND RUBY!"
"MARVEL SUPER HERO SQUAD!"
"MAX AND RUBY!"
"MARVEL SUPER HERO SQUAD!"
(repeat until ending in tears, most likely on my part.)

Comments

I'm going to be so sad when my kids get too old to watch cartoons with me.

Their loss.
