« Oh, Great | Main | Surprised »

While watching the "Daily Show" last night, during Rob Corddry's story "Harry Potter Terror," I was amused to see that one of the book covers they flashed across the screen was Kelly Link's "Stranger Things Happen." Start looking at the 2 minute mark, and don't blink. I'm surprised I even noticed, frankly. Probably won't help sales, but it's still funny.

Reading: The Magical Land of Oz, Baum's sequel to The Wizard of Oz. I read this around the age of ten, and was extremely startled to find that the young male protagonist turns out to be a girl enchanted into boyform. All the other characters had to assure him, er, her, that they would still be his/her friend. It's turn of the century genderbending!
