Before The Fall

Got word that there's going to be an alternate selling point for Path of the Just, one involving a potential for royalties. Good to hear, but I'll wait until I hold a check in my hand before I show any excitement.

No real news. Today was last day of classes, which is why I spent much of my time helping nervous people print final papers. Now exams, then for a few weeks of sleepy summer calm before the fall hits.

Currently Reading: Jonathan Lethem's Fortress of Solitude. Enjoying it, although I'm mildly amused by the fact that, while early in the book Dylan (the main character) disses DC comics as not being as cool as Marvel (true enough in the 1970s, when the book is set), the title of the book is taken from Superman, a DC mag. Perhaps there'll be a shift in alliance later on.

Update: Nope. What sloppy titling. Should've called it The Inhumans, or Attilan, or The Blue Area. Would've been truer to the material, despite 99.9% of the target audience not knowing what the hell it meant. Also, while well written, 'twas an excellent reminder of why I don't read a lot of literary fiction.
