You Make Me So Dizzy (My Head Is Spinning)
It seems I've got an inner ear infection of some sort. Either that, or a) all of the planet Earth has been placed upon a ship at sea, or b) someone has been slipping me martinis. At any rate, things do roll beneath me, and not in the good way. Been like this for five days and has gotten quite old. I've got a doctor's appointment this afternoon. With luck, this can be treated and quick. I've lost patience with it all. The fact that I'm able to stay at home today and watch our new decadently sized television only partly makes up for it. Josie also went to the vet this morning and is there still. Not sure what's wrong with her (she is getting up there in years) but am keeping my fingers crossed.
Recently read: Mary Renault's The King Must Die, a historical retelling of the Theseus myth. Quite good. In related reading news, I've also got some new titles lined up fresh from the bookstore: From a Buick 8 (King's novel, interrupted), Summerland (a baseball fantasy novel by the supremely excellent Michael Chabon), and the new Honor Harrington book, War of Honor (tho' Lisa has first dibs on that one).
