800 Miles Later

Well, we're back. We spent Friday driving to scenic Olive Branch, Mississippi, a stone's throw from Memphis, to visit with Lisa's relatives out there under more pleasant circumstances (Remember last October? Of course you do). Had a fine time, eating, chatting, a little sightseeing and the like. Had a fine time. By the way, if you're ever in Memphis and are in need of a decent hamburger, go to The Blue Monkey on Madison Avenue. The fact that I am related to part of the management is a mere detail. Returned to find a personal rejection from Weird Tales, a long delayed book from the NAW's only Toby, and several sleepy cats ("Oh, you're back. Were you gone?") who looked only mildly suspicious.

And how did you spend your weekend?
