Do Not Adjust Your Sets (I'm Already Adjusting Mine)

The only news to report is that Strange Horizons has coughed up the dough for my story "With the Dawn." If you haven't read it yet, why not now? It's painless, I swear.

Oh, if any of you've sent me email and are wondering what's up, there'll be a slight delay for a few days more. I grew tired of my computer's eccentric behavior and performed a complete mind-dump on it this weekend. Backed it all up, then wiped it. Now I'm putting it back together again, and it's taking a little longer than I thought (no problems, just Real Life).

Poetry Pub

The June issue of the online magazine Speculon is up, and it includes my poem "Lunchtime." Yay, another credit! And I'm sharing a TOC with fellow NAWer, Jenn Reese (hi Jenn!). Forgive any excessive giddiness, as I'm in a strangely cheerful mood today. My advice: enjoy it while it lasts.

Later: Ah, here's a killjoy. A speedy 8 day rejection from F&SF, signed not by GVG but his editorial assistant.

Return From Space & Time

A 98 day rejection note from Space & Time. It was a form rejection on a strip of paper barely an inch high. But they did take a few moments to write some encouraging notes in the margins.

Strange Horizons And Black Gate

My story "With the Dawn" is now up on Strange Horizons. Go take a look, won't you? I also learned that Black Gate is putting my story out this fall, not this summer as I'd first thought. Scheduling thing. But I'm not complaining. Gives me something to look forward to.

Happy Birthday To Lisa

Today is my sweetie's birthday. Modesty and violent threats prevent her age from being revealed, but still! Take a moment, won't you, and wish her a happy birthday?
