Odd Mail

Today in the mail I received two magazines: the first was my copy of the Gila Queen's Guide to Markets. For those of you who don't subscribe to this, I can only say: big mistake. It's probably one of the most complete market guides to selling your fiction available. The second magazine was the latest copy of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine. I am pleased to receive it...except I don't subscribe. It was sent by MZB's magazine, not a third party, and it had a page marked with a tag. The tag marked an article on writing and taxes. My publication is too old for them to be worrying about me and how it'll affect my taxes, and if they did want to inform me, they could've photocopied the article and mailed it. Very confusing. So, in the end, all I can say is, free reading matter! Woo hoo!
